Fluorite Pendant

Fluorite is a mineral composed of Calcium Fluoride. The gemstones are often multicolored with the same stone containing contrasting colors. These multicolored stones often have banding patterns. Normally impurities in a gemstone are considered flaws, but in fluorite that’s what causes the color. The white streak you see in the stone is the true color of the mineral in a powdered form.

This pendant hangs around 1-1/4 inches with a width of around ½ inch. Its weight is 15.4 carats. The gemstone is a free form cabochon cut slice which allows light to pass through it. The addition of a hand-fabricated setting give this piece a natural, organic look. The Purple in the stone makes it a very effective stone for meditating. The clear areas work with the crown chakra and help to align the chakras by bringing energy into your body.

Fluorite is a softer stone, so we recommend that you do not clean it in an ultrasonic cleaner or steam cleaner. Instead use soap and water.
