It's Time To Speak Up

Andrew on vacation
As if having a pandemic wasn't bad enough, our country is being overrun by stories of racism. Normally I don't join the conversation because, for all of my gregariousness, I'm normally pretty private, but I believe that the time for me to speak up is overdue.  I can no longer remain silent.

Over the coming weeks I'll be sharing stories of what it's like to grow up Black in America.  What's it's like to live as a Black man in America.

A link to my first story is in this blog.  It took longer than I expected to record because I didn't anticipate how emotional the process would be. Even though I'd like to think that it'll get easier, I doubt that it will. My only hope is that doing this will make a difference and encourage others to speak up as well.
