5 Ideas For A Meatless Thanksgiving
I have it on good authority that not everyone eats meat. I know! I was shocked, too. Anyway … the Yin and the Yang are strong in our household. Linda doesn’t eat meat, and I love bacon (among other non-vegetable foods). She’s a good sport about it, too. Most of the time we eat vegetarian, but occasionally I make myself something a little different from what she’s having and she doesn’t make faces.
A few years ago that difference made for an interesting and delicious Thanksgiving when our adult children and I decided to surprise Linda with a meatless Thanksgiving. We all scoured the internet looking for unusual recipes. It was a win-win year. The spread was amazing, and there were a lot of thankful turkeys.
Here are 5 dishes that make an excellent addition to your Thanksgiving festivities:

Can’t have dairy? I hear you. Linda can’t have dairy or gluten. Luckily there are some delicious substitutes available. We use Earth Balance Vegan Buttery Sticks, Simple Truth Organic Gluten Free Non-Dairy Sour Cream, and Unsweetened Almond Milk. All these alternatives are also gluten free.
What are some of your favorite foods to serve on Thanksgiving? We’d love to hear from you.
